SLIP ONS.

So you may have noticed in my last outfit post, I am firmly on the slip on band wagon.
When I was about 15 I had some Vans slip ons that I wore near enough everyday, so I feel all pleased & nostalgic about the revival, thanks to Celine.

If you're not lucky enough to afford a pair of Celine's then there are some cracking alternatives & variatinions knocking around on the highstreet. To be completely honest, even if I could afford a pair, i'm not too keen on wearing calf skin, so these are some much better options for me! (although I wouldn't wear real pony hair either)

THRIFT SHOP.

Coat - Vintage
Leather trousers - Vero Moda
Slips Ons - Asos
Open back top - Zara

So really, this post is a bit of a homage to my love of charity shop shopping. I haven't really done it in ages, but the other day it was cold, so I took refuge in an Oxfam shop & found this bad boy! It's a vintage Saint Micheal at Marks and Spencers & it was £9!! £9!!!!

So I urge you all, if you have the spare time, to pop into a charity shop & have a little browse to see what treasure you can uncover. I also found some Asos Hurricane heels in the same shop, but they were too big. You win some you loose some hey!

I think my next post with be dedicated to my new slips ons & other similar ones, as I am a bit in love with them right now.

Let me know your best charity shop bargs & I shall leave you with the wise words of Macklemore; "I wear your granddad's clothes, I look incredible, I'm in this big ass coat
From that thrift shop down the road".

VALENTINES TREATS.

I am a big old Valentines fan.
To be honest, I like any occassion thats a bit of an excuse to celebrate or have a day out of the ordinary.

I had to include these absolutely stunning Agent Provocateur sets from Netaporter.com . It's all about the lacey, barely there, underwired bras at the moment, & I think these are the perfect luxary examples. They're not going to bankrupt you, but if you are after something with a bit of a smaller price tag check out the Monki website. They have some great alternatives from £10!!

Here is me & my boyfriend embracing the Valentines spirit last year...

& yes, I did make him wear that T.shirt.

SKINNYDIP LONDON.

So as you may know, I am on Asos.com for about 23 of the 24 hours in the day, & ever since I stumbled across Skinnydip London on their accessories page I have become a bit obsessed.
Jewel encrusted accessories adorned with neon multi gems, mixed in with a heavy dose of perspex... could it get any better?!

Skinnydip is a London based label, founded in 2010. You might recognize them from featuring on Dragons Den in 2012, but the owners decided to go it alone & are storming the UK fashion world. Aswell as Asos, you can buy buy Skinnydip London products from River Island, Topshop & Selfridges.
So not only are they statement pieces, they're accessible & affordable.
Top banana i'd say.

Being relitively new & incredibly exciting, Skinnydip has been spotted on several fabulous fashion blogs... & amoung it are these two faves of mine.

Megan, over at Whats New Pussycat
Not only are all her posts fricken fabulous, she is also real lovely!

Maddy, at Fashion Obscura .
My favourite of all the blogs I have recenetly discovered, & deffinately one to check out.

Do let me know what you think & what you're favourite products are. I need to get my hands on that Glitterball case for sure!

ASOS TWO PEICE.

So I think this is what I will probably wear to fashion week & have entered it in a LFW outfit competition over at Nowseen.com . I'm struggling to get a bloggers pass, it's like trying to give birth to a cow, but i'll still go down regardless to meet some other bloggers & check out the street style... and maybe go for a cheeky Yo Sushi.

I actually won this jacket from Asos... so naturally had to get the trousers! They're not really the best fit for me to be honest, but I have wanted a matching suit for ages & I love checks, so couldn't let this bad boy get away.
It's in the sale now, so grab yourself a bargain! It's a real investment peice that you can keep forever & bring out every now and then for occasions. As a tip, deffinately go a size down with the trousers!

I'm wearing my favourite Kate Moss for Rimmell lipstick, in 107.

Let me know your thoughts!

POLARGRAM.

So the other day I was looking through my Grandma's old photos with my cousin & we thought it was really sad that our grandchildren won't have photos to hold and look at. Everything is so digital & disposable, & I know I have never bothered to go down to boots with my little memory stick and print them.
So for new year I have decided to print my instagram photos to put in an album.
I used 'Polargram' to do this & will certainly use them next time. It was so quick & easy, and for 24 photos it's only £7... or if you wanted 48 it's only £10! Deffinately worth it.
As you can see they come in this cute polaroid style to, hense the name! (& they sent me a Maoam!)

Check them out here if you're thinking of doing the same.
& If you'd like to follow me on Instgram between posts I am @HELEN_RAGGYDOLL

GOODBYE 2013, HELLO 2014.

So there goes another year!

It was a mixed & quite tough one for me.
The start of the year my Dad was undergoing treatment for Cancer, which he beat. I wished for nothing more in the world than that news, but then I then lost my beloved Grandma a few months later. I have also lost my job this year, which is obiously very minor in comparsion. It's been all ups and downs!
I don't like to talk about personal things too much on my blog... cos no one wants to read that! But I just wanted to thank my readers & followers for your support throughout the year. I love blogging, & at times it has been a welcome distraction to share all my fashiony thoughts with like minded people like you!

I chose to pop this little video in, because I think it has been my song of the year. I went to see Gabrielle Aplin with my best friend in a small local theatre a bit later in the year, after all this had happened. She was amazing & I have really happy memories from that night.
Heres to a year with more ups than downs!
